वो आएं थे ढेरों आरजूएं लेकर शहर की ओर,
अब जब जा रहे है तो बहुत सी ख़्वाहिशें दफ़न कर जा रहे है।
पता नहीं अब कब वापस आएंगे इन रास्तों पर मुड़ कर,
जिन पर नंगे पाँव चले जा रहे है।।
जिन्हें अपने सपनों को मंज़िल पहुँचाने के लिए चुना था,
अब उन्हीं राहों को पीछे छोड़े जा रहे है।
जो बनाते थे कभी सबके सपनों का घर,
आज वही एक छत और दो जून की रोटी की तलाश में
भटके जा रहे है।।
वो आएं थे ढेरों आरजूएं लेकर शहर की ओर,
अब जब जा रहे है तो बहुत सी ख़्वाहिशें दफ़न कर जा रहे है।।
जो गलियां, जो शहर लगता था कभी अपना सा,
अब वही क्यूँ परायों की गिनती में खड़े नज़र आ रहे है।
सोचा ना था!!
एक दिन ऐसा भी आएंगा जब सड़के सूनी और शहर
वीरान हो जाएंगा।
कोई मज़दूर बेउम्मीद होकर वापस लौट जाएंगा।।

These are pure emotions expressed with concern and care. Moreover we even don’t know when this entire thing is going to end. The dilema and the pressure felt by these humans are immeasurable.

Deepika , You have been able to convey the helplessness of these people, in view of the COVID 19 lockdown and millions of labourers and daily wagers going unemployed, this become seven more poignant

We have lockdown so that less number of us get ill. But to survive and earn many want the lockdown to be lifted which is even more scarier… Nice write up….

This pandemic has create a havoc for people who work on daily basis. you had shared their pain and feeling perfectly in this post. hope everything get fine soon and we all get back to normal lives.

Migration is a reality. So many people travelled along the length and breadth of our country for work. Sad that they had to go through this.

The lines “Jo banate the sab ke ghar aaj vo roti ke liye bhatak rhe hai” have so much in depth and can sum up the situation of migrant workers easily. Well written!
